choir festival@concordia university 11/6/07

choir festival.
left school at 4:30
came back to school at 10 pm
took me an hour to get ready. went to mcD’s. bought food. went to school. ate. helped some girls with their hair. boarded the bus.
ipod frenzy time with bestfriend/sister.
i had the right earphone, juno had the left.
and we sat there and listened to slow songs and sang along
listening to those songs make me miss him alot..and it somehow makes me sad.
juno and i kept playing the same songs over and over again.

anyways the bus drive was quite a long way.
got to concordia.
one word: COLD
i could feel the wind penetrating my stockings and my jacket.
and lopez said we’d have time to eat/drink/go potty but we didn’t.
so i was hungry. and thirsty. i thought we would be able to come back to the bus to get food, etc but we didn’t.
woww.
3 hours CLINIC festival. that’s just..BORING and LONG.
and walnut was last.
saww two other show choirs there.
los alamitos and esperanza.
esperanza was amazing. soloist had a wonderful voice.
i mean..after a few minutes, everyone’s bored, tired, grumpy but when esperanza went on, we sat straight up and listened intently.
at least i did…
anyways, other choirs included el monte, irvine, woodbridge anddd other schools i don’t recall.
i think by the time walnut went up to perform, the adjudicator was too tired to really comment and criticize us.
he just said we sounded matured,looked mature (wtheck?! how?!), looked classy, and had great flute players.
i hope we did good.
it was so cold!
the whole time i was singing, i was like shakingg because it was so cold!

University of California San Diego&La Jolla Beach

Yesterday (friday) tallsomes and I went to san diego (:
We visited and toured our future college- UCSD
And then we went beaching. whee.

So we met up at Cinno’s house. Thank you Mr&Mrs Wen for taking us!
We saw three car accidents. Wow. And one car was totally flipped over.
And the car in front of us..was driving straight at the center divider (we were in the car pool lane) and then it pulled back just in time.
Driver on drugs? Driver asleep?

Probably the cutest jump picture ever! Especially juno. She’s jumping sideways, not falling.

I am the sumoberry tree. Very rare, indeed. Currently only one exists in the world. (: I shelter friends only. The Sumoberry tree is a tree a little under 5′8”. She produces very yummaylicious fat, juicy, orange berries with red stems. Do not fret, it’s not poisonous! Instead, eating this tree gives you a “rush” and you go wheeeee for awhile. (:

THenn we arrived at UCSD!
Gigi was our tour guide. She was a really good guide, I thought.
We visited a few of the colleges (Muir, Roosevelt, Marshall…I forgot one more).
And there was this…man…who….smelled.
It was really horrible because everytime he moved/shifted in his position, fhasglshalghsalg.
Cindy and I kept squirming and trying to move away falshglshg
I should introduce him to deodorant. (: Extremely useful for the armpits.
It saves lives.
It was so funny though because Cinno and Juno thought it was “Tree” smell at first.
But they realized it was too stinky to be tree smell.
Then ate at rubios at ucsd. Fish burrito (:
THey have a costco on campus! That’s so cool.
And omgosh maybe I’ll learn how to skateboard from class to class or somethingg.
And I’ll get a car
Steven was right. UCSD is so pretty. There literally are bunnies hopping around everywhere (:
Andddd then had the admissions meeting. So depressing.
And when I told my mom about what they said at the admissions meeting,
She started yelling and she made me cry ):

I couldn’t really see the college. It was covered by trees. But here’s the sign!

The giesel library. Contains 1+ million books. The entrance is actually below floor level.
There’s 11 different libraries at UCSD but this one contains almost all of Dr. Seuss’ books.
The gielsel library was named after Theodore “Dr Seuss” Giesel and his wife.
The library has starred in two movies! OMg it’s famous!

Then afterwards we went to la jolla beach!
It was far better&prettier than any beach I’ve seen.
The sky had no clouds.
There was no seaweed at all in the water and
The water was blue…a blue that you see don’t at regular beaches.
So many surfers too
And we saw a dead jellyfish!  :O

Then afterwards we went to brea mall for an hour.
Charlotte russe had a sale.
So Juno and I got the same shirt in different colors.
The shirt tag said “2 or more $10″ so we thought it was $5 per shirt and we’re like “:O OMG OMG”
but it turns out it was $10 each but that’s still good I guess.
Thennn we went to souplantationnnnnn yummay.
I had that bbq chicken pizza which was really good and pasta and lots&lots of tomatoes and yummy soup.
