So, for my boyfriend’s belated one year anniversary present, I decided to make him a pillow.
I went down to Joanne’s, picked out a yard of fabric that I wanted to use (you only need about half a yard…depends on how big your pillow will be), bought pillow stuffing, and thread (because I wanted the thread to match).

Then, after sewing the edges, I decided that i wanted to embroider Peter’s name and our anniversary date on the pillow. To do this, I wrote his name on a piece of paper and while using a embroidery circle, I directly sewed the paper onto the cloth. The paper serves as a guideline. Be careful, I poked myself many times.


Here are the letter’s “ter” in peter. After sewing all the letters on, rip off the paper. During this process, some of the thread will be ripped off along with the paper. Don’t worry. Just fill it in by hand sewing it. There should be “needle holes” that can semi-serve as guidelines.

Stuff the pillow.
