“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to continually be afraid you will make one” – Elbert Hubbard
That’s from pumo’s profile.
And that’s me.
Maybe I should stop with the whole being scared to hurt someone and the negative ‘what ifs’
because I’m making a big mistake right now- being scared of making a mistake.
But then again, I don’t want to make a big mistake. Especially a big one.
I dont want to and I’m scared to.
It’s leo’s birthday today (aug 26) and he’s already 7. (:
It’s amazing seeing your dearest brother grow up and only knowing that you love him more and more each year is an ineffable feeling that words can’t possibly describe.
part of me is happy for Leo- watching him learn how to read, write, do math, play, beat me at video games&computer games. But, the other half of me is sad and sometimes, I wish Leo could stay little forever. Sometimes, I wish Leo were once again the 1 year old baby I had to feed, carry, change diapers for.
Okay enough sad, nostalgic talk.
Time for fun.
So this year, my parents and I decided to throw Leo a birthday at…*drum roll please*
CHUCK E CHEESE’S
where a kid everyone can be is a kid.
10 of leo’s friends came (:
Friends from the same street and neighboring houses, friends from vejar, and friends he met at star education.
As much fun as the party was, it was pretty hectic, loud, rambunctious.
I’ll stop babbling now and give some visual things (:

I just found out that..my auntie’s mommy passed away.
I call her grandma.
She had cancer but they just recently found out or something and then all of a sudden..
she’s gone. ![]()
This is so sadd.
I saw her three years back and she was perfectly fine.
R.I.P. Grandma
Every once in awhile, we come to a dead end in our path. And that blockade seems to block everything from our view. Sunshine, happiness, optimism. But instead of sitting there on a stool thinking “sigh. i just wont get to the other side”do something. Think of an alternative way to get to the other side. Climb that wall, break down the wall, find a different route. The focus is to learn to pick yourself up everytime you fall and to see through the wall onto the other side. Dwelling in your misery and sinking low in your chair only adds on to the load of bricks negative thinking on your back.
“I won’t get into my dream school. I’m a failure in life.”
“I wish i did this differently. I made a mistake”
“My boyfriend dumped me. I can’t live without him. I want him back.”
“I’m a horrible girlfriend.”
“My dog died. I’m devastated.”
So what if you won’t get into your dream school? Out of 85 years in life (assuming you live to the age of 85), college only takes up 4 years of those 85 years. You have other chances and opportunities to better yourself. Don’t slouch and give up just because you think you can’t get in. Believe in it. Learn to embrace your faults. Only when you learn to accept yourself for who you are (no matter how many mistakes you’ve made), can you become the person you want to be. Look on the bright side of things. Your boyfriend is with you for a reason and that probably means alot so you’re not a horrible girlfriend. Your dog is in a better place now and snuffy’s had a happy life. Everyone and everything eventually faces death. It’s inevitable. You’ll visit snuffy in dog heaven. (: And he won’t have to face the pain of arthritis.
Everyone gets negative. It’s normal. I do too. (hypocrite, sumo!)
But, the world needs alot more optimism.
It’s never too late to start.
Girls
are like apples
on trees. The best ones
are at the top of the tree.
The boys dont want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that are’nt as good,
but easy. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they’re amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who’s
brave enough to
climb all
the way
to the top
of the tree.
Except in this case, it should totally be a sumoberry tree.
Do you remember this?…Someone sent me this a long long long time ago.
And pumo just sent the words to me today.
And I went to find the tree version of this.
I used to wait for that someone brave enough to climb up that stinkin’ tall tree and pick me.
…
I’ve found my apple picker sumo picker
